Lex Humanitas reveals where form hides power and replaces meaning.

Introduction

A System Based on Actuality

Everything begins with undistinguished reality, or, to put it more precisely, actuality.

In a diagram, we can conventionally represent it as a continuous range of colors.

Continuous field

After this, consciousness enters the scene and performs the fundamental act. It is through this that consciousness is consciousness. Distinguishing. And it divides this conventional reality into segments.

Systemic reduction

Thus actuality, which contained infinite differences on an infinite scale, becomes a set of just a few elements.

Consciousness distinguishes not only static images in this way, but also dynamics in the same way. That is, processes are likewise divided into components.

Thus consciousness fixes for itself a limited set of elements and a limited set of dynamics occurring with these elements.

This is how a person develops an idea of the structure of reality, of the structure of actuality. And it is important to emphasize here that, in essence, the person has formed an idea of the structure of actuality on the basis of their own division of reality into components, and not on the basis of what reality is in itself. Unfortunately, for most people, at this stage they simply do not distinguish between the fact that they themselves have divided reality in a particular way and what it actually is. For most people, their own division of reality becomes equivalent to the reality that actually exists, because those very differences, those very changes within the field of meaning have been smoothed over.

But since separate elements and their dynamics now exist within consciousness’s representation of actuality, consciousness begins to perceive actuality as a certain system, even though initially actuality contained no system at all. The system was created precisely at the moment when consciousness divided reality into elements and the dynamics of those elements. Thus consciousness mistakenly began to perceive actuality as a system.

At the second stage, the system already works for its own sake. Everything that fits into… In other words, everything similar, that is, elements become categories. At the second stage, the system begins to defend itself, and the separated elements become categories. Everything that outwardly resembles these categories, everything that, in the view of consciousness, bears some similarity to them, is assigned to the corresponding category. Everything that does not resemble these similarities is either somehow compared with and assigned to a known category, or discarded as nonexistent, as noise.

Artificial System

An artificial system works in an entirely similar manner. These are systems in which consciousness introduces boundaries more arbitrarily to carry out certain particular tasks, artificial tasks. That is, here elements and dynamics are introduced entirely depending on the tasks. There are hybrid systems. In such a case, this might be a state’s legislation, which introduces different elements and laws governing how these elements should interact. It is an attempt to connect reality with certain artificial conceptions of how reality ought to be structured. And a third type consists, in effect, of entirely artificial elements and entirely artificial dynamics of those elements. Examples would simply be games: chess, football, and so on. The division into elements is artificial, and the dynamics of those elements are artificial as well.

Conclusion

It is important to emphasize that in all three cases, no system initially existed in reality or actuality. All three systems, all three types of system, are created within consciousness and are not objective reality, but rather projections of the way consciousness classifies the reality around it.
